Our Mission

To empower people who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, or Deaf-Blind to live as independently as possible, to control the course of their own lives, and increase opportunities and choices through provision of direct services, peer advocacy, and community education.

Our Vision

At Signs of Self, our vision is a society where having a hearing loss is not a barrier to any person being able to have choices and fully participate not only in the direction of their own lives, but also have the opportunity to be the valuable contributors to their communities that they can be.

Providing services in the clients language of choice

Recognizing that communication is a 2-way street and must involve a clear understanding of the clients own wishes to be effective
